# ScripturePlus vs PonderLock

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ScripturePlus at none against PonderLock's 3. ScripturePlus also leads on ratings volume (9.5K vs 16) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). PonderLock's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PonderLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. ScripturePlus asks for nothing beyond the download.

ScripturePlus holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScripturePlus has 9.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of ScripturePlus's written reviews are positive against 100% of PonderLock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScripturePlus ships an update every 4 weeks, PonderLock weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
