# VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield vs VPN

The clearest difference is ads: VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield at none against VPN's shown. VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). VPN's advantage is ratings volume (456K vs 46) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield against 4.7 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 456K ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield's written reviews are positive against 84% of VPN's.

VPN Proxy Master Secure Shield ships an update every 2 months, VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
