# RECOIL Presents vs Patch Vault

RECOIL Presents and Patch Vault both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Patch Vault's written reviews are positive against 40% of RECOIL Presents's. Patch Vault also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). RECOIL Presents's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (75 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RECOIL Presents sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Patch Vault sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for RECOIL Presents against 5.0 for Patch Vault. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RECOIL Presents has 75 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of RECOIL Presents's written reviews are positive against 100% of Patch Vault's.

RECOIL Presents ships an update every 5 months, Patch Vault fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
