# US Mobile vs MB Smart Protect

The clearest difference is rating: US Mobile at 4.1 against MB Smart Protect's 3.0. US Mobile also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 2). MB Smart Protect's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 68%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

US Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: US Mobile has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of US Mobile's written reviews are positive against 100% of MB Smart Protect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

US Mobile ships an update weekly, MB Smart Protect every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
