# Fresh Thyme vs Vantage Checking Rewards

The clearest difference is rating: Fresh Thyme at 4.0 against Vantage Checking Rewards's 3.0. Fresh Thyme also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). Vantage Checking Rewards's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fresh Thyme holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fresh Thyme has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fresh Thyme ships an update every 3 months, Vantage Checking Rewards every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
