# Fresh Thyme vs Jungle Jim's

The clearest difference is ads: Jungle Jim's at none against Fresh Thyme's shown. Jungle Jim's also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (25% vs 10%). Fresh Thyme's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 20). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fresh Thyme holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fresh Thyme has 1.7K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Fresh Thyme's written reviews are positive against 25% of Jungle Jim's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fresh Thyme ships an update every 3 months, Jungle Jim's every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
