# Space vs Minus5

The clearest difference is ads: Minus5 at none against Space's shown. Minus5 also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). Space's advantage is ratings volume (282 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Minus5 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minus5 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space has 282 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Space's written reviews are positive against 100% of Minus5's.

Space ships an update every 3 weeks, Minus5 weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
