# Cool VPN Pro vs BOOST VPN

The clearest difference is ads: BOOST VPN at none against Cool VPN Pro's shown. BOOST VPN also leads on device support (5 vs 3). Cool VPN Pro's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 802) and review sentiment (76% vs 59%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cool VPN Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and BOOST VPN sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Cool VPN Pro against 4.6 for BOOST VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cool VPN Pro has 42K ratings behind it against 802, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Cool VPN Pro's written reviews are positive against 59% of BOOST VPN's.

Cool VPN Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, BOOST VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
