# Cool VPN Pro vs Argon VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Cool VPN Pro at 42K against Argon VPN's 355. Cool VPN Pro also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cool VPN Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Argon VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cool VPN Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cool VPN Pro has 42K ratings behind it against 355, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cool VPN Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Argon VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
