# Transcribe Audio to Text Notes vs Note Recorder

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Note Recorder at 100% against Transcribe Audio to Text Notes's 24%. Note Recorder also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Transcribe Audio to Text Notes's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 7) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcribe Audio to Text Notes sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Note Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Transcribe Audio to Text Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcribe Audio to Text Notes has 3.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Transcribe Audio to Text Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Note Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Transcribe Audio to Text Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, Note Recorder fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
