# Transcribe Audio to Text Notes vs Voice Notes

The clearest difference is monetization model: Voice Notes at free with in-app purchases against Transcribe Audio to Text Notes's subscription. Voice Notes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Transcribe Audio to Text Notes's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcribe Audio to Text Notes sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Voice Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Voice Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcribe Audio to Text Notes has 3.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Transcribe Audio to Text Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, Voice Notes every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
