# OmniPlan 4 vs Contact Eclipse

The clearest difference is rating: Contact Eclipse at 5.0 against OmniPlan 4's 3.9. Contact Eclipse also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). OmniPlan 4's advantage is review sentiment (24% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OmniPlan 4 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Contact Eclipse asks for nothing beyond the download.

Contact Eclipse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OmniPlan 4 has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of OmniPlan 4's written reviews are positive against 0% of Contact Eclipse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OmniPlan 4 ships an update every 2 months, Contact Eclipse every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
