# ManaBox MTG vs Lanifu

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lanifu at free with in-app purchases against ManaBox MTG's subscription. Lanifu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). ManaBox MTG's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 1) and chart position (#183 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ManaBox MTG sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Lanifu sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lanifu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ManaBox MTG has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of ManaBox MTG's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lanifu's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
