# Action Tour Guide vs exploreCHQ

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: exploreCHQ at none against Action Tour Guide's 41. exploreCHQ also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Action Tour Guide's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Action Tour Guide sells 40 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year. exploreCHQ asks for nothing beyond the download.

exploreCHQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Action Tour Guide has 12K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
