# Action Tour Guide vs CORTRAN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CORTRAN at none against Action Tour Guide's 41. Action Tour Guide's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 13) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Action Tour Guide sells 40 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year. CORTRAN asks for nothing beyond the download.

Action Tour Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Action Tour Guide has 12K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Action Tour Guide ships an update every 2 weeks, CORTRAN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
