# Falou vs LingoBuddy

The clearest difference is ads: LingoBuddy at none against Falou's shown. LingoBuddy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Falou's advantage is ratings volume (98K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Falou sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and LingoBuddy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LingoBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Falou has 98K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of Falou's written reviews are positive against 100% of LingoBuddy's.

Falou ships an update every 5 days, LingoBuddy every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
