# iTourTranslator vs LecSync

The clearest difference is monetization model: LecSync at free against iTourTranslator's free with in-app purchases. LecSync also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). iTourTranslator's advantage is ratings volume (265 vs 5). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTourTranslator sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and LecSync sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for iTourTranslator against 4.2 for LecSync. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTourTranslator has 265 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of iTourTranslator's written reviews are positive against 71% of LecSync's.

iTourTranslator ships an update every 3 weeks, LecSync every 9 days. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
