# NEU Reader vs FanG

The clearest difference is rating: FanG at 3.0 against NEU Reader's 1.6. NEU Reader's advantage is review sentiment (13% vs 0%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FanG holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 2 respectively.
