# Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix vs Frames

The clearest difference is monetization model: Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix at free with in-app purchases against Frames's subscription. Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix also leads on ratings volume (6K vs 624). Frames's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Frames sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix against 4.7 for Frames. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix has 6K ratings behind it against 624, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix's written reviews are positive against 29% of Frames's.

Carousel Post Collage SwipeMix ships an update every 2 months, Frames every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
