# IUPI Map vs Coconote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IUPI Map at none against Coconote's 24. IUPI Map also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Coconote's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 39 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 21). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coconote sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. IUPI Map asks for nothing beyond the download.

Coconote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coconote has 17K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of IUPI Map's written reviews are positive against 71% of Coconote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IUPI Map ships an update every 39 months, Coconote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
