# Butcombe vs Hoburne App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hoburne App at free against Butcombe's ad-supported. Hoburne App also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 32%). Butcombe's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (37 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Butcombe against 4.0 for Hoburne App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Butcombe has 37 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
