# LAPS mobile vs SplashAuth

The clearest difference is update cadence: SplashAuth at every 10 days against LAPS mobile's every 7 months. LAPS mobile's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LAPS mobile ships an update every 7 months, SplashAuth every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
