# StuLOG vs RelePlanner

The clearest difference is rating: StuLOG at 4.9 against RelePlanner's 4.4. StuLOG also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). RelePlanner's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 43%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StuLOG sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RelePlanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StuLOG holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RelePlanner has 35 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of StuLOG's written reviews are positive against 71% of RelePlanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StuLOG ships an update every 2 months, RelePlanner every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
