# StuLOG vs StudyLog

The clearest difference is rating: StuLOG at 4.9 against StudyLog's 4.2. StuLOG also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). StudyLog's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StuLOG sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StudyLog sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StuLOG holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of StuLOG's written reviews are positive against 50% of StudyLog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StuLOG ships an update every 2 months, StudyLog every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
