# Wave vs 緣TALK

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 緣TALK at 93% against Wave's 40%. 緣TALK also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (157 vs 27). Wave's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wave sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and 緣TALK sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

緣TALK holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 緣TALK has 157 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of Wave's written reviews are positive against 93% of 緣TALK's.

Wave ships an update fortnightly, 緣TALK every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
