# EZHL vs Shahen Captain

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EZHL at 100% against Shahen Captain's 50%. EZHL also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Shahen Captain's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shahen Captain holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EZHL has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of EZHL's written reviews are positive against 50% of Shahen Captain's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EZHL ships an update monthly, Shahen Captain every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
