# Payentry vs PayDayPortal

The clearest difference is rating: Payentry at 2.7 against PayDayPortal's 1.9. Payentry also leads on ratings volume (629 vs 187). PayDayPortal's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (28% vs 13%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Payentry holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 629 and 187 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Payentry's written reviews are positive against 28% of PayDayPortal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Payentry ships an update every 3 months, PayDayPortal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
