# Hexicon vs Dicefolk

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dicefolk at 77% against Hexicon's 50%. Dicefolk also leads on ratings volume (53 vs 13). Hexicon's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hexicon sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Dicefolk sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hexicon holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 53 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Hexicon's written reviews are positive against 77% of Dicefolk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hexicon ships an update every 9 days, Dicefolk fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
