# Raymote vs Polytropic

The clearest difference is rating: Raymote at 4.7 against Polytropic's 3.0. Raymote also leads on review sentiment (31% vs 4%) and ratings volume (1K vs 2). Polytropic's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Raymote holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raymote has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Raymote's written reviews are positive against 4% of Polytropic's.

Raymote ships an update every 2 months, Polytropic every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
