# FlashCards vs Flashcards

The clearest difference is ads: Flashcards at none against FlashCards's shown. FlashCards's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlashCards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flashcards sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlashCards ships an update fortnightly, Flashcards every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on August 30, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
