# Bluetooth Loudspeaker vs Sound Amplifier

Bluetooth Loudspeaker and Sound Amplifier both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Bluetooth Loudspeaker's written reviews are positive against 34% of Sound Amplifier's. Sound Amplifier's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bluetooth Loudspeaker sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Sound Amplifier sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sound Amplifier holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sound Amplifier has 1.2K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Bluetooth Loudspeaker's written reviews are positive against 34% of Sound Amplifier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bluetooth Loudspeaker ships an update every 2 months, Sound Amplifier every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
