# Live Lightning Map Storm Radar vs StrikeCast

The clearest difference is monetization model: StrikeCast at free with in-app purchases against Live Lightning Map Storm Radar's subscription. StrikeCast also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Live Lightning Map Storm Radar's advantage is ratings volume (91 vs 5).
