# McAfee Security for Metro vs VibeMate

The clearest difference is rating: McAfee Security for Metro at 4.7 against VibeMate's 4.2. McAfee Security for Metro also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 517). VibeMate's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (66% vs 52%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

McAfee Security for Metro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McAfee Security for Metro has 2.9K ratings behind it against 517, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of McAfee Security for Metro's written reviews are positive against 66% of VibeMate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

McAfee Security for Metro ships an update every 2 months, VibeMate weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
