# MyUoB vs Unibuddy

The clearest difference is rating: Unibuddy at 4.6 against MyUoB's 2.0. Unibuddy also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (106 vs 4). MyUoB's advantage is iOS requirement (12.3.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Unibuddy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unibuddy has 106 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of MyUoB's written reviews are positive against 4% of Unibuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyUoB ships an update every 6 months, Unibuddy every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
