# PedApp vs Fathom Radar

The clearest difference is rating: Fathom Radar at 5.0 against PedApp's 3.6. Fathom Radar also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 8 months). PedApp's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fathom Radar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PedApp has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PedApp ships an update every 8 months, Fathom Radar every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
