# SuperChinese vs Pika Robot

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pika Robot at none against SuperChinese's 10. Pika Robot also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). SuperChinese's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 13) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperChinese sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Pika Robot asks for nothing beyond the download.

SuperChinese holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperChinese has 3.9K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of SuperChinese's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pika Robot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SuperChinese ships an update weekly, Pika Robot every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
