# Geometry vs eLog

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: eLog at none against Geometry's 10. eLog also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Geometry sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. eLog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Geometry ships an update every 2 months, eLog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
