# MobIR vs Thermal Master

The clearest difference is rating: Thermal Master at 2.5 against MobIR's 2.2. Thermal Master also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 5). MobIR's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Thermal Master holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of MobIR's written reviews are positive against 36% of Thermal Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MobIR ships an update every 2 months, Thermal Master every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
