# GEMS Connect vs RTA Test

The clearest difference is ads: GEMS Connect at none against RTA Test's shown. GEMS Connect also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and review sentiment (47% vs 33%). RTA Test's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RTA Test holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 214 and 59 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of GEMS Connect's written reviews are positive against 33% of RTA Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GEMS Connect ships an update every 4 days, RTA Test every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
