# CLASS vs Classical Music+

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CLASS at none against Classical Music+'s 1. CLASS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Classical Music+'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 24 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Classical Music+ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. CLASS asks for nothing beyond the download.

CLASS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Classical Music+ has 54 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CLASS ships an update every 24 months, Classical Music+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
