# SmartBox Support vs CarLink

The clearest difference is rating: SmartBox Support at 5.0 against CarLink's 4.5. SmartBox Support also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). CarLink's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (963 vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CarLink sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. SmartBox Support asks for nothing beyond the download.
