# KeyVPN vs VPN Point

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN Point at free with in-app purchases against KeyVPN's subscription. KeyVPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (86% vs 58%). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeyVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per 7 days and VPN Point sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for KeyVPN against 4.6 for VPN Point. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 525 and 1.5K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of KeyVPN's written reviews are positive against 58% of VPN Point's.

KeyVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN Point every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
