# Connect SmartHome vs Uniden Dash View

The clearest difference is rating: Uniden Dash View at 5.0 against Connect SmartHome's 4.1. Uniden Dash View also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Connect SmartHome's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 11%) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Uniden Dash View holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Connect SmartHome has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Connect SmartHome's written reviews are positive against 11% of Uniden Dash View's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Connect SmartHome ships an update every 8 months, Uniden Dash View every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
