# Chic vs FilterLab

The clearest difference is rating: FilterLab at 5.0 against Chic's 3.8. FilterLab also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks). Chic's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chic sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and FilterLab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FilterLab holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chic has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Chic's written reviews are positive against 100% of FilterLab's.

Chic ships an update every 4 weeks, FilterLab every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
