# Freddy’s vs Hawaiian Bros

The clearest difference is monetization model: Freddy’s at free against Hawaiian Bros's free with in-app purchases. Freddy’s also leads on ratings volume (124K vs 4.7K) and chart position (#91 vs unranked). Hawaiian Bros's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Freddy’s against 4.8 for Hawaiian Bros. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freddy’s has 124K ratings behind it against 4.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of Freddy’s's written reviews are positive against 48% of Hawaiian Bros's.

Freddy’s ships an update monthly, Hawaiian Bros every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
