# Screen Recorder Pro⋆ vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Recorder Pro⋆ at 4.5 against Screen Recorder's 3.3. Screen Recorder Pro⋆ also leads on ratings volume (23K vs 24) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Screen Recorder's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (53% vs 32%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder Pro⋆ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder Pro⋆ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder Pro⋆ has 23K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Screen Recorder Pro⋆'s written reviews are positive against 53% of Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder Pro⋆ ships an update monthly, Screen Recorder every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
