# Tower Swap vs Word VS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Word VS at none against Tower Swap's 6. Word VS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). Tower Swap's advantage is ratings volume (76 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tower Swap sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Word VS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Word VS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tower Swap has 76 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tower Swap ships an update every 3 weeks, Word VS every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
