# Skydio vs FreeFlight 7

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FreeFlight 7 at 100% against Skydio's 43%. FreeFlight 7 also leads on monetization model (free vs paid). Skydio's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (77 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Skydio holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skydio has 77 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Skydio's written reviews are positive against 100% of FreeFlight 7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Skydio ships an update every 2 months, FreeFlight 7 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
