# Screen recorder vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is update cadence: Screen recorder at every 4 weeks against Screen Recorder's every 9 months. Screen recorder also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 37%). Screen Recorder's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen recorder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Screen Recorder sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 793 and 981 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Screen recorder's written reviews are positive against 37% of Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen recorder ships an update every 4 weeks, Screen Recorder every 9 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
