# CocoonWeaver vs Aethera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Aethera at free against CocoonWeaver's free with in-app purchases. Aethera also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 81%). CocoonWeaver's advantage is ratings volume (317 vs 19) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CocoonWeaver sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Aethera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aethera holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CocoonWeaver has 317 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of CocoonWeaver's written reviews are positive against 100% of Aethera's.

CocoonWeaver ships an update every 6 days, Aethera fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
